011 § Offline/Video § Aang is Alive!
Offline
[Appa has been outside the Clinic all week, outside Aang's room to be precise. There's a pile of hay that Sokka has been bringing and Appa just hasn't been eating. He can feel that Aang is still gone, that their connection is still severed and it's killing him. Not physically, mind you; mentally and emotionally.]
[The great beast sighs and brings a foreleg around. He picks up some of the hay and drops it, picks it up and drops it, and then sighs again. He can't always understand what humans mean, so he doesn't understand why they haven't taken care of Aang's body. He also doesn't understand why the body doesn't smell like it's rotting.]
[He's only six, so he only has six years worth of experiences and this is something so new to him. He wants to have a little sky bison tantrum and go knock some buildings over. He wants to go find whoever did this to his Aang and go rough them up (but not kill them; Aang would be upset about that), but he doesn't want to go away from Aang.]
[But then he feels it, very weakly at first and then very strongly. That connection, that life. He jumps up, moving more than he has in days and puts his face up to the window. Aang's chest is moving! He's breathing! He's not really gone!]
[He cries out in happiness as Aang's hand comes up to pull the sheet down so he can see.]
Hey, Appa. [His voice is raspy. He had a lot of healing to do, but it looks like the damage to his throat from being strangled will have to heal up while he's back. He reaches out and bends the wind around Appa's head, petting him from a distance.]
[He uses airbending to pull his PCD over and frowns at it. Whoever killed him will see that he's alive. He doesn't want that. Of all the ways for an Airbender to die, he never even thought of lack of air. And even when he'd been at the risk of drowning, he'd gone into the Avatar state without realizing it.]
[He's not going to hide, as much as he might want to.]
Hey. [Yup, his voice is all raspy.] I'm sorry if I worried anyone, but I'm okay now.
[And he has no clue that he was cut up.]

[Katara's hair is up; she's halfway through mashing some herbs with a mortar and pestle, some little thing to keep her busy. She seems to be fighting the urge to throw them both to the ground and immediately leave at the sight of him on the video.]
You're awake!

[He's not going to mention his investigation for the moment, he doesn't want to upset him, so he just gets his excitement and worry out of the way instead.]

Pokopenian Aang. Good job on successfully returning to life.
I will hop right over to check on your health.
[Was that... a froggy pun? Yes, it seems to have been one. Either Kururu's in a particularly good mood at the moment or he's going out of his way to try to cheer up the young boy. Maybe a little of both.]

Okay, Mr. Frog. And thanks. But I don't think it was me that brought me back to life, so I can't take all the credit.

[ Whatever it was, he wasn't complaining. ]
You...!
You're alive! You're okay!? [ He's not going to let on how upset he was. He'd only just met you and he'd thought that maybe you could be friends- and then heard you'd died, just like that. It had reinforced just how scared of this place he was. ]

You certainly had a lot of people worried about you.

That's him, guys! Go after him!If Aang knew, he'd probably try to work to an understanding with him.]Yeah, I guess I did. [He looks sheepish.]

Yeah, I know. I didn't mean to upset anyone. Of course, I didn't plan on dying, either.

Yeah, I'm here. Someone brought me here. I guess it was Sokka, since he was here when I woke up. [He grins, albeit sheepishly.]

[So very, very glad. So many of her friends were worried over his death, as was she.]
