Wait - you mean he wasn't human? What could he do?

Well, he could move really fast and he was really strong. But I didn't find out what he could do, really.

That doesn't really sound any different from what a normal human can do.

Anyway, nevermind that. What's the last thing you remember from home? Was the war over?

Yeah! The war is over. Ozai can't hurt anyone ever again. Azula is really, really insane. Oh, and Zuko's the Fire Lord.

I... I don't remember any of that. Zuko told me everything -- well, most of it -- when I first arrived, but...

What's the last thing you remember? [More sober this time. Katara might come from a long time ago... relatively speaking.]

The last thing I remember is coming back from my trip with Zuko.

Oh. Yeah, it's been a little while.

A little while? Just how long is a little while?

Not very long! Just like a week or so.

Well that's a relief. I didn't miss too much - did anything else happen before the end of the war that I should know about?

Um... Let's see... [He holds up a hand and starts ticking off things, like he's making sure he said everything that's important.] Azula's insane, Ozai can't hurt anyone, Zuko's the Fire Lord, we had a really nice kiss, General Iroh opened a tea shop. It's really good tea, too! [A grin because that was totally tossed in there casually.]

I think Azula's always been insane, to some degree.

Wait a second -- you ... didn't kill him did you? You seemed pretty set against dealing with him violently, so what happened?

I expected Zuko would become the Fire Lord once Ozai and Azula were dealt with. He's got a lot of work cut out for him, but I think he'll do a good job.

A...tea shop...

Yeah, it really is! We hang out there a lot. All of us. [He grins.] I think Zuko likes making tea. [And the grin fades and he looks serious.] And no, I didn't kill Ozai. I said I wouldn't.

I took away his bending.

You.... took away his bending...?

I ... didn't know you could even do that. How --?

The Lion-Turtle taught me. I didn't want to have to kill Ozai and he gave me another solution.

That's amazing Aang...! I'm really proud of you. You stuck to your values - but I shouldn't be surprised. [ She laughs faintly. Had it been her, or Sokka, or heck, ZUko? Ozai wouldn't have gotten off so easily. ]

[Ozai probably would have preferred dying to not having his bending.]

I'm glad I was able to and end the war.

I knew you would.

I'm going to go check in on Sokka and Zuko. I'll see you later, Aang.
